Why don’t kids like for parents to help them brush their teeth? My daughter’s got to have the cleanest lips in the city. I get so sick of brushing her lips I don’t know what to do. There’s got to be a better way. We don’t always battle over the brush, but tonight it was on! She got to brush them this morning, now it was my turn! And I’m sure you can imagine who won the battle. The kid with the “Colgate smile, uh..lips” I can assure you that no children were harmed in the making of this picture.

• You can call me JULU.

  I'm a single working mother of two. Referred to as "an old soul" I have a knack for reading people. Friendly by nature, I'm that person who gets the quiet people to talk. When giving advice, expect my answers to contain a heap load of wisdom gained from my vast experiences, a considerable amount of women's intuition, and a dash of humor. I will not excuse behavior for ANYONE. If you do wrong then ask my opinion, expect the hard truth about it. I'm also an artist, so view life creatively. I'm a trip, and will clown you as I see fit. Guys typically think of me as like a sister, or they tend to "forget I'm a girl" because I'm so frickin' laid back. Hay, "it is what it is" so no need in me stressing over stuff I can't control. Don't get me wrong I have my moments. I just usually take the common sense approach to solving problems instead of letting my heart do the talking; and if that doesn't work, I ask Drake. I have a Degree in Business, and an Honorary Degree in "Dealing with Life's BS."

• Love hurts, and Then You Smile

  A lone tear streams down my face. Kindred is singing in my ear “your eyes they shine brightly with mine..you make my heart sing in ways I never knew…I love you just the way you are.” This man, this man. Why can’t I forget him. There are days I wish I never allowed my heart to wrap around his. Those lips, his touch, his aroma, his…EVERYTHING. And I love him just the way he is. All of him. He’s my addiction. And everyday I’m away from him I get stronger, rehabilitated. I love me more. I do. But it’s cool. Just having a moment here. And two minutes later, I’m all better.
