The Hardest Part of the Wait is the Weight, you need this book in your life!  Its powerful message of truth is passionately delivered, and is as Real as it gets.  The book touches on points of intimacy that all of us can relate to. Purchase this book on Amazon!

Author Barbara Dempson is a high school classmate of mine. When I learned on FaceBook that she had published a book, my first reaction was one of excitement!  I write as well, so my mind was running rampant thinking of all the networking we could do.  And then I visited her website to see what she had been up to over the years, and was blown away by her story. To see where she is today–despite going through some extremely difficult times, was inspiring.  Her road to happiness was filled with potholes, traffic jams, u-turns and wrecks.  The intimate details of her past that she shared, made me super-curious to see what knowledge she would kick within the pages of this book; and as expected, she delivered!

When men make love to us we feel whole. When they are inside of us, our heart is so full that it feels like it is going to explode. Then it is over, and he zips up and leaves. When he leaves, there is a hole in our heart where his penis used to be. –Barbara Dempson

That statement is so real that it hurts.  It’s painfully true.  I know that feeling that she’s describing.  It’s a longing for something more; and oftentimes the men we pursue are not emotionally ready to give a woman any more than something physical.  Even still, we go along with the program..hoping that what we’ve given up will be enough to sustain that man’s sexual appetite.  The man makes a deposit in the ‘bank’ then zips up, packs up, and leaves.  The visual alone is enough to make you wanna stop your foolishness!

This book by Author Barbara Dempson takes you along her emotional journey, and gets in deep.  The reader gets to experience every cut and bruise she experienced; and then takes you on her path to healing.  A must read.

You can call me JULU. I’m a single working mother of two. I’ve been referred to as “an old soul” and have a knack for reading people. I’m friendly by nature and cool with just as many women as men. I’m that person who always gets the quiet people to talk. When giving advice, expect my answers to contain a heap load of wisdom gained from my vast personal experiences, a considerable amount of women’s intuition, and a dash of humor. I will not excuse behavior for ANYONE. Wrong is wrong, and if you do wrong then ask my opinion, expect the hard truth about it. I’m a great communicator, and enjoy talking and sharing thoughts with others. I’m also an artist, so view life creatively. I believe there are many different ways to handle the many different situations we encounter in life. Expect some humor where appropriate. I’m a trip, and will clown you as I see fit. Where guys are concerned, they typically think of me in one of two ways. I’m either like a sister, or they tend to “forget I’m a girl” because I’m so frickin’ laid back and “don’t get all emotional” like women tend to. Life is what it is, so no need in me stressing over stuff I can’t control. Don’t get me wrong I have my moments. I just usually take the common sense approach to solving problems instead of letting my heart do the talking; and then if that doesn’t work, I ask Drake. ☺ I have an Associates Degree in Business, and an Honorary Degree in “Dealing with Life’s BS.”
